I must admit that I haven't paid much notice to my personal website the last month. There was a good reason for not doing so: my father in law, some one I dearly loved, passed away after a short period of illness. When I returned to my site to make some updates to the site content, I discovered that this site was hacked. Some mentally challenged brat, claiming to be of Turkish origin, bragged on my homepage of his succesful hack. Big deal, kid. Anyone can use a script that uses a joomla exploit. It takes no brain to do so. So get a life and stop bugging people. Of course I've installed the latest Joomla update to make sure security is up to standard again. It has been a valuable lesson, forcing me to renew backup procedures and making sure that I keep up with the latest Joomla developments. |
